New gallery/creative space

ROAR, with the support of FLUX, has a new gallery/creative space at the indoor market for exhibitions, workshops and residencies. This is a great opportunity to engage with the public, share and sell work as well as promote the arts and creativity of Rotherham.

We already have loads of ideas for what could happen in the space but ROAR is it’s members so please send us your thoughts, ideas and suggestions.

Do you already have a planned project that would work really well in this type of space? Or have you always wanted to work in full view of the public? Has this new space just sparked a new idea?

There is window, wall and floor space for showing and the seating area, close by, can be set up with gazebos for workshops, talks or demonstrations.

We have a small budget to support projects to happen in the space so bear this in mind when putting your ideas forward. This small budget can also be used as match funding if you are applying for funds from elsewhere for your project. We won’t be able to support every idea or project that is put forward but we are looking for a really diverse programme for the first 6 months to trial different approaches.

There will also be a gift shop within the space for ROAR members to place their products.

We are also open to offers of volunteering to help get the space up and running.
